It all started when...
A climbing-keen friend invited me to go bouldering, where I spent the whole session scared as soon as my feet left the floor but there was something about climbing I loved. Soon I was hooked and, three years later, I'm working out how I can keep climbing as an important part of my life throughout pregnancy and beyond.
This is my first pregnancy so, along with the usual research into how much cheese is too much and whether I'll ever get any sleep, I've been trying to find out as much about climbing pregnant as possible. There's not a lot of information available, so I decided to share my experiences with other climbing mums-to-be.
I'm hoping my stories, those of parents who've already been there and the advice of professionals will become a useful resource for anyone looking for more information about climbing mamas.
